Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) are in a unique position to evaluate their companies’ current performance and future outlook. Among the CFO surveys published in the U.S., the GE Capital U.S. Mid-Market CFO Survey is one of the few that examines businesses across distinct sectors, providing a more comprehensive picture of how financial executives view the world today and their outlook for the months ahead.
Currently in its fifth edition, each year during the first and third quarters, GE Capital surveys the CFOs of approximately 500 U.S. middle-market companies across seven distinct industries to ascertain their views of the U.S. economy and their outlook on a variety of crucial industry and business issues, including commercial credit and financing needs. CFOs surveyed were from an independent Dun & Bradstreet source of middle-market companies with revenue between $50 million and $1 billion, and average revenue of approximately $145 million.
